Kenneth Ulman
Ken Ulman (born May 4, 1974) was elected as County Executive of Howard County, Maryland in 2006. He previously served as a County Council member representing District 4 of Howard County. He has served as Secretary of the Cabinet and Director, Board of Public Works in the Glendening administration. He lives in Columbia, Maryland with his wife and two daughters.
== Early life and education ==
Ulman was born in Columbia, Maryland on May 4, 1974, and attended Centennial High School (Ellicott City, Maryland). Ulman interned at the White House and received a B.A. in Government & Politics at the University of Maryland, College Park in 1997. Four years later, he received his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center and was admitted to the Maryland Bar Association. Ulman joined his father, Louis Jay Ulman, who is part of the firm Offit Kurman at Howard County's Maple Lawn Development, and the former Chairman of the Maryland Racing Commission appointed by Maryland Governor Parris N. Glendening.
